Laowa 9mm f2.8

An ultra-wide-angle lens for Sony E

This lens from Venus Optics is the reason my excellent Rokinon 12mm f2.0 lens is gathering dust and will be sold soon. I'll briefly list its features (details in online review below) then give you my take on this little beauty.

Details

From f5.6 to f11 the image quality is excellent across the frame: a great landscape lens. At f2.8 it is pin-sharp in the centre with a little field curvature which simply adds to subject isolation in many cases. Images display essentially no coma and no chromatic aberration: a great astro lens.
